The duties of Housekeeper vary widely according to the needs of the family. Some housekeepers clean, prepare meals, make beds and change linens, do laundry and iron. Others may have specific tasks and they can be supervised by the homeowner or Household Manager. Some families also request that child care be included in the responsibilities.
A Cleaning Lady is solely responsible for the cleaning. Typically, a cleaning lady works on a part-time basis, either weekly or bi-weekly for a set number of hours depending on your needs. She can use her own or your supplies, depending on your personal preference.
